To improve the corrosion resistance of steel pipes, general steel pipes are galvanized. Galvanized steel pipes are divided into two types: hot-dip galvanizing and electrogalvanizing. The hot-dip galvanizing layer is thick, the cost of electrogalvanizing is low, and the surface is not very smooth. Oxygen blowing welding pipe: used for oxygen blowing in steelmaking, generally using small diameter welded steel pipes, with specifications ranging from 3/8 to 2 inches. Made of 08, 10, 15, 20, or 195-Q235 steel strips, some require effective aluminizing treatment to prevent corrosion.
Most of the old houses use galvanized pipes, and the iron pipes used for gas and heating are also galvanized pipes. Galvanized pipes are used as water pipes, and after a few years of use, a large amount of rust is generated inside the pipes. The yellow water flowing out not only pollutes the sanitary ware, but also contains bacteria that grow on the unsmooth inner wall. Rust causes high heavy metal content in the water, seriously endangering human health. In the 1960s and 1970s, developed countries internationally began to develop new types of pipes and gradually banned galvanized pipes. The Chinese Ministry of Construction and other four ministries have also issued a decree prohibiting galvanized pipes from 2000 onwards. Currently, galvanized pipes are rarely used in cold water pipes in newly built residential areas, and some hot water pipes in residential areas use galvanized pipes.
